Branden and I are going to Rocky Point in just a couple weeks with the Cook family. I don't know what to take with us for Bryson because we'll be camping. He's crawling and we'll be in the sand during the day and gravel at night, any ideas? Thanks!
Do you have an exersaucer? You know, the thing they stand in with all the toys around it? It was a life saver for us with Chase, if you need to borrow mine you can! Also, take a king size bed sheet to make a big play area on the sand, it is great as long as it isn't too windy.
Hey there! I just happened onto your blog through Sara's and I happened upon her's through someone in our old ward who we worked with in primary! Small world isn't it! You have a cute family, and Bryson sure is adorable! You look great! our family blog is fararfamily.blogspot.com
I forgot to mention, that we went to Rocky Point when ALlison was about Bryson's age. I have a portable playpen that I set up under a shade canopy that Dan and Cheryl had brought. When we were tired of being in the water and sun, we would go sit under that and I would let allison crawl around the playpen. yes, it did get sandy, but I just cleaned it up when I got home.
Definitely a pack and play, but I didn't take it down to the beach, because our house was really close... I have heard of people taking one of those kiddie pools, that helps restrict them, but they can still play in the ocean :) A canopy is always a good idea, too. I can be quite the Sunscreen queen and one day when we were outside, the whole day!, Thomas still got burned. So any breaks you can take under shade is always good for them :) I bought several dollar beach toys and they loved those :)
good luck... have fun... and let me know if you need any other advice :D
I'm so jealous! I can't convince Stephen to take us to Rocky Point. :( Your baby is so dang cute! He's huge! My Maddi is 2 months older than him and like 2 pounds lighter. Lucky...
Branden and I are now parents to two beautiful children! I can't believe how much our lives have changed in just two short years. We thank our Heavenly Father everyday for two such wonderful blessings in our lives. We are so blessed with Branden's job during these hard times, and pray that he will continue the hard work. We both feel fortunate that I'm able to stay home and raise our children. Through thick and thin we countinue to see how our Lord blesses our lives.
