What we've been doing this fall!

Sorry it's been a while since I've written on my blog! Our family has really being enjoying this change in weather. It's so beautiful this time of year. The weather is just perfect for afternoon strolls, having steak BBQ's outside on a blanket =), watching the gorgeous sunsets that Tucson has, making yummy pumpkin bread and spending time with family and friends.
We went to Sandra Nixon's Halloween party and dressed him up as an Arizona fan, thanks to John and Kathy's gift. So if you're keeping count, he's been Spiderman, an Arizona fan, and Rambo... talk about indecision!

But the biggest changes have been occuring with our beautiful boy who just recently turned 8 months old. Bryson has been standing by himself for the past month or so. He is such a busy kid. If there is anything to do, or anyone to do it with he's right there for the action. (Usually the one making all the commotion) He is such a sweet heart and loves to love. He gives kisses to everyone which usually end up knocking the other child down, or he'll hold hands with the baby in the next car seat over. It's adorable. I have a feeling I'm going to have to keep a close watch on him! We dressed him up as rambo this year for Halloween, I have to get my picture of him from a friend so those posts will show up a little later. All I can say is that it fit his personality-- 100% boy!

Bryson's first Halloween

While I was out shopping I found this costume that I thought for sure was going to be too big for Bryson. I thought I better try it on him, just in case I needed to get something smaller before Halloween. And this is what it looked like when we tried it on him. So... just a little too small. I can't imagine what it would have looked like in another two weeks.

My Birthday!

I began the day with my friends taking me out to breakfast. I forgot to get pictures! Then we went shopping, one of my favorite things to do. We had a great time trying on every pair of sunglasses. And then we ran through McD's for their dollar menu. Delish! And then Branden came home early for my birthday so he could take me to Agua Caliente for a sunset picnic. It was a beautiful day, the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Bryson loved being outside as well. When we finished eating we took a walk by the lake. Bryson watched the ducks intently, and there were a lot of turtles everywhere! We took a walk in the back part, and that was a lot of fun. We saw some wildlife, and after the rattlesnake we decided it was time to go. When we got home Branden sent me on a treasure hunt, and I found my present with his clues hinting at what he had gotten me. The pearl necklace and earrings are so beautiful! I've never owned a real set of pearls before, and I really liked them. This was such a wonderful birthday!!

Rocky Point Trip Oct '08

We went to Rocky Point this last weekend with our dear friends Sarah and Sam Rogers. It's a Cook Family tradition to go twice a year. The last few times Branden and I have been fortunate to go. In June Bryson was only three months old, and had a hard time with the wind, so I wasn't sure how he was going to do this time. I've been taking him to swimming lessons, which he has loved, and I knew that he would do better this time with the water. He had a wonderful time! The wind didn't seem to bother him at all. He took long naps on the beach, the weather was humid, but the breeze on the beach was perfect napping weather. I think next year when Bryson is old enough to walk we're going to have our hands full. He loves to give kisses and loves to everyone, it's just hard when they're not big enough to take it. I hope we didn't scare any kids away. He would attack these other babies with kisses and hugs, and I think they'll need to be a little bigger next time... Thanks to everyone for your help and ideas, we brought this big jean blanket that we were able to lay out on the beach which gave him freedom to crawl about. Branden spent his time kyaking with Sam and Blake, the waves were really big on Saturday and I think that added to fun the fun for them. Branden and I tried to get past the waves together, unfortunately my arms would only take us so far, I had to give in and call it quits after a bit. We had a great time with our family and friends!!

I'm getting ready for the fall!

I made this floral arrangement!! Can you believe it? I went to Michaels, all their fall floral is 1/2 off right now, and got a little creative. I'm so excited that it's cute, and perfect for the season. I'm excited to shop after season sales and get ready for next year.

The Seedall's latest report.

Well, about two weeks ago Bryson had gotten pink eye. I wasn't sure that it was an infection, so I decided to wait it out. So I kept him away from crowds for a few days, and when there wasn't a change in his health I called the nurse practicioner, and she gave me some drops that helped clear him up right away. Poor child, he was not feeling very well for a few days, it was pretty aweful. And in the middle of that I had gotten really sick, it started out as a bad sore throat. I had to take some antibiotics which helped the strep, and a few days later the pain traveled SLOWLY and PAINFULLY down my throat into my chest, and I was afraid I'd have to go back for broncitis. I was stuck at home for almost two weeks between Bryson and I, what misery. Branden was such a sweet heart through all of it. He did an awesome job taking care of us and tried to make meals and clean the house and do whatever he could to help. Thankfully he kept well through all of it. (I guess there is something to cheese crisps, which is the only thing he knows how to make.=) Now Bryson is pulling himself up onto everything, and along with that, banging his head on the fall down. He has this constant bruise from hitting the poor same spot every fall. But he won't let it stop him, he's a really tough kid. My favorite part is when he pulls himself up to the piano and will play with the keys for a long while... he's so cute. He is a great eater. He'll eat everything. He doesn't really have a preference for anything in paticular yet, which is nice because I can continue to feed him healthy. He is also always smiling at everyone, his looks and sounds are too adorable and pretty much attracts attention at any store we enter. Can you tell I'm a proud parent? Another thing about Bryson is that he likes to wear hats. I had his Old Navy cap on him all day and he didn't mind it one bit. And he looks so cute in hats, I'm glad he'll wear them. Well, that's all for now, I'll will keep you updated as it happens.

I Need Some Ideas!

Branden and I are going to Rocky Point in just a couple weeks with the Cook family. I don't know what to take with us for Bryson because we'll be camping. He's crawling and we'll be in the sand during the day and gravel at night, any ideas? Thanks!

What's new with the Seedall's!

So Bryson had his six month shots just last week. He is in the 90% for height and weight. He is 20.2 lbs and 27 in. long. He is so heavy to carry for too long so I'm really grateful on the days we get to go shopping with Branden!
Lately we've been doing swimming lessons at the nearby pool, it's only .25 a class! Amazing, I know! Bryson loves it, that is, when he's not tired. I think his favorite part is when they pull out the pool toys and Bryson gets to chase after it. He slaps his hands against the water and occasionally frog hops towards the ball. And gets so excited when he finally gets it, his eyes get huge and he does this pucker thing with his lips.
And as of last week he is crawling! Well, I don't think he realizes what he's doing just yet, but he's really close. And the last couple of days he gets himself moving by doing this push up/ hand stand move and just scream because he gets so frustrated. But if he wants something bad enough he'll scream and grunt until he finally makes it. I hope he grows out of the grunting it's quite... loud...

Family Pictures!

We took these family photos with some friends of ours. Believe it or not we have a lake in Tucson, Agua Caliente! Beautiful! We had a few poses, but then Bryson got really fussy and before we knew it he had thrown up all over Branden. I hope he'll grow out of that soon. Enjoy

Bryson at his best!

You've got to love this picture, if you ever hear me referring to my son as a chicken it's because of this picture. Priceless!

Richins Family Hike

This picture was so cute... we were trying to get a family shot, and Drensel kept creeping closer and closer until he was finally in the picture! What a cutie!

My family went to hike up in Catalina State Park, also known as Romero Pools. However, we didn't make it all the way to the pools, we walked down to the stream and hiked up to the small waterfalls. It is so beautiful right now, I couldn't believe how green it was, it was almost like we were in a scene from Twilight! (ok, I really like that book.) No really, it was beautiful with all the ferns and green plants, and water! Ok... so the water looks a little questionable... just don't drink the water!

Bryson's first taste of real food!

Isn't he so cute?! He loves rice cereal!

No, that's not it!

Breaking Dawn Release Party!!

For the release of the fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, Borders bookstore had a prom night. Some friends in the ward talked me into joining them for the night. I was just a little bit hesitant... to say the least... We got our dresses at second hand stores and just tried to fix them up so they would work. ( I got ny dress for $12) We went with our husbands to dinner at The Melting Pot! It was so fun!! It just goes to show you that some of the most "impracticle" things end up being the best time!! So enjoy life and sometimes you just have to let go and disregard the 'those girls must be drunk' looks! Replace it with one of those big energy drinks! -Karla, Thanks for getting me excited about it, and pushing me to do it!! Oh, and Tamara Montague was there too, but I don't have a good group pic., if anyone has one let me know... thanks!
